It is time to have some fun with friends and help the birds. We need your help to sustain the habitat and youth projects, and educate the public about the alarming decline in quail numbers. This year we were able to put more funding into habitat projects and local youth events due to your generous donations at last years banquet. We gave almost $3,000 to local landowners for habitat work in Smith & Phillips County, more than doubling what we have done in past years. We were able to continue hosting our annual Youth Hunt, as well as donations for North Central Kansas Outdoor Youth Fair. Additionally, we started a new program at Smith Center Elementary called “Milkweed in the Classroom”, teaching our next generation about the importance of pollinators. Some of these donations were monetary to help cover expenses, while we also donated lifetime combination licenses to youth at these events. We are working hard to help the birds and develop another generation of hunters and conservationists.
You are cordially invited to attend our 20th annual banquet, which will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at the Smith Center Armory, 101 Armory Road, Smith Center, KS 66967. Registration and social time with games and raffles will start at 4:30 PM followed by a great meal at 6:30 PM. The live auction will begin at 7:30 PM. We will have special activities for the youth. We will again have our 10 gun Table Raffle, Platinum Tables and our Tumbler Draw Down with a twist. Only your $45 membership fee is sent to the National Organization. All the remaining money raised at our banquet is spent locally on habitat, conservation and youth projects.
