4th Annual Pheasants Forever
“No Child Left Indoors” Youth Shoot
Sunday October 11th, the Pawnee Valley Pheasants Forever Chapter hosted its 4th annual Youth Shoot, out at the Larned Gun Club. We had 41 kids show up, which is our largest one to date. They received instruction in shooting and then were able to shoot targets with air rifles, .22’s, and shotguns. The Youth Director for Pheasants Forever brought down all of the supplies for the kids to enjoy. The kids that attended the event received a free membership to Pheasants Forever Ring neck club, a free Ring neck hat.
We are hoping to keep growing this event and get all the youth involved in shooting sports. We are planning on having this event twice a year, one in the fall and in the spring. We will have our next shoot in the spring of 2016. This event is open to all children kindergarten and up, boys and girls. We would like to thank the Larned Gun Club for letting us host the event at their facility, and all the volunteers that made this possible.
