Pasture/Wildlife Management TOUR in Dickinson County - ranchers and wildlifers need to see this

  • United Methodist Church 308 W 7th St. Woodbine, KS United States (map)

Ranchers, farmers, prairie enthusiasts, conservationists, and upland bird enthusiasts are invited to come.  Lunch will be provided.  Fee is covered by tour sponsors and local conservation groups so no charge to attendees.  See, first hand, a working ranch with a good grazing balance even in a drought.  Also, SEE what good quail, pheasant, and prairie chicken habitat management throughout the ranch and CRP lands looks like.  Ask questions about rotations, fire, watering facilities, government cost-share for improving your grazing system and upland bird population.  Dale Kirkham (rancher and range specialist), Dwayne Rice (range specialist), Fred Traskowsky (landowner and rancher), and Allie Rath (wildlife biologist) will be speaking.

Call to reserve your spot to Cindy Woofter at 785-263-1351 a.s.a.p., by August 22.

Be sure to bring hat, bug spray, sun block, and wear long pants as we'll be walking around the pasture.

Meet at the church by 9am.
